Izushi is a "Little Kyoto" of Tajima, located about 40 minutes by car from Kinosaki Onsen. 
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the ruins of Izushi Castle and the castle town with its many soba restaurants, eat Izushi Sara Soba for lunch, and visit Eirakukan, the oldest playhouse in northern Kinki where Kataoka Ainosuke performs every year. You will feel as if you have traveled back in time to a historical space during this jam-packed experience. 
Among them, Izushi soba is said to have evolved into the current "sara soba" style around the early 1700s, and is a feature unique to Izushi. "Freshly ground," "freshly made," and "freshly boiled" Izushi soba is a dish that you should definitely try. 
Some of the experiences you can enjoy in Izushi include touring the Izushi soba noodles, making soba noodles, painting Izushi ware, and touring the inside of the Eirakukan building.
