A model itinerary to fully enjoy the ropeway and visiting the public hot springs.
If you're going on a trip, rather than cramming your schedule full,
I want to get away from my daily routine for a while and spend some time relaxing while soaking up the atmosphere of the place.
For those people, I recommend a 1-night, 2-day trip to Kinosaki Onsen.
Walking around the hot spring town in a yukata, or gazing at the townscape of Kinosaki from the ropeway,
I took a short bike ride around town.
And at the end of the day, you can soak in a hot spring and savor Tajima beef.
Kinosaki Onsen has the charm to make that "time spent relaxing" itself a memorable part of your trip.
This time, we'd like to introduce a model itinerary for a 2-day, 1-night adult trip to Kinosaki Onsen, using the Koyado En as your base.
[Day 1] Walking around Kinosaki Onsen town
12:00| Arrived at Kinosaki Onsen
Upon arriving at Kinosaki Onsen Station, the first stop is the small inn, En.
After leaving the station, walk along the station street in front of you for about 3 minutes.
At Koyado En, you can easily leave your luggage even before check-in, so once you've left your large bags and become lighter,
Let's head out to the town of Kinosaki Onsen right away.
One of the attractions of Kinosaki Onsen is that the hot spring town is close to the train station, allowing you to explore various places on foot.
Walking along the Ootani River, past rows of willow trees, arched bridges, and streets lined with traditional buildings,
Naturally, you'll transition into a travel experience that's different from your everyday life.
One way to enjoy Kinosaki Onsen is to not cram your schedule and simply wander around the hot spring town at your own pace.
14:00| Enjoy a panoramic view of Kinosaki Onsen from the ropeway
After strolling around the hot spring town, we'll head to the Kinosaki Onsen Ropeway.
It's about a 15-minute walk from the small inn, En, to the ropeway.
There are many souvenir shops along the way, so you can stroll around browsing the shops and enjoying street food.
I recommend taking a break at a footbath along the way.
As you stroll through the hot spring town, you might find that the approximately 15-minute walk flies by in no time.
As you ride the ropeway and go up the mountain,
The town of Kinosaki Onsen, which I was walking through just a moment ago, is gradually getting smaller in the distance.
From the mountaintop, you can see the hot spring town, the Maruyama River, and the surrounding mountains.
The view of Kinosaki from here is quite different from what you see from the ground, and it makes you want to stop and admire it.
There's also a cafe at the mountaintop station, where you can enjoy sweets and coffee while taking in the view – it's a truly special experience.
You can enjoy a slightly luxurious tea time while taking your time to appreciate the scenery.
Additionally, at Onsenji Temple, located at the intermediate station, you can purchase "Hana-mamori" (flower charms) adorned with delicate embroidery.
Choose your favorite from a selection of unique patterns.
A one-of-a-kind amulet makes a perfect souvenir to take home as a memento of your trip.
In the coming seasons, we will see beautiful autumn foliage and snowy landscapes in winter.
The ropeway shows a completely different face depending on the season.
This is one place I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting during this time of year.

15:00Checking into Koyado En
After returning from the ropeway, we checked into the small inn, En.
When you check in, you can choose your favorite colored yukata (Japanese summer kimono).
We offer colorful yukata for both women and men, and we also have a wide variety of obi (sashes) to choose from.
Try combining a yukata and obi to create your own unique look.
Everything you need for visiting the public baths is provided in your room, so all you have to do is change into your yukata and you're ready to go.
Put your towels and valuables in our original "Tajima Beef Eco Bag".
Now, we're finally setting off on our tour of Kinosaki Onsen's public baths.
16:00Visiting public baths in a yukata
When you think of Kinosaki Onsen, you naturally think of visiting the various public baths.
Currently, Kinosaki Onsen has six public bathhouses.
Each place has its own unique charm, and the time spent walking through the hot spring town, wondering where to enter and where to go next, is also enjoyable.
It's one of the highlights of a trip to Kinosaki.
Among them, the one I would like to recommend this time isGoshonoyu".
The entire bath is open-air, allowing you to enjoy a bath while gazing at a waterfall and feeling close to nature.
While soaking in the hot spring, you can hear the sound of the water and see the nature unfolding before your eyes, not just soaking in the hot water,
You can enjoy the hot springs with all five senses.
The time spent moving from one public bath to another is also part of the charm of Kinosaki Onsen.
I listened to the clatter of wooden clogs as I enjoyed the breeze with a glass of Hiraya Milk in my hand.
If you keep repeating that cycle, you might find that it's already evening before you know it.

18:00| Savor the special Tajima beef "Tajima Gen"
After enjoying a tour of the various hot springs, it was time for dinner.
Located on the second floor of the small inn, EnIrori Dining Mikuni"So,
Special Tajima beefGen TajimaWe offer dishes using "[ingredient name]".
Tajima Gen is a brand of beef raised at Ueda Livestock Farm in Muraoka, Kami-cho, Hyogo Prefecture.
It is characterized by its melt-in-your-mouth fat and the rich, savory flavor of the meat.
After strolling through the hot spring town and warming up in the public baths, savor the Tajima Gen sake.
Enjoy a special dinner at your leisure, something you can only truly appreciate while traveling.
20:00Walking around Kinosaki Onsen at night
After dinner, we headed back to the hot spring town.
Kinosaki Onsen, which is bustling with people during the day, takes on a more tranquil atmosphere at night.
The bright lights of inns and shops shimmer on the surface of the Ootani River, creating a magical atmosphere.
Walking through the quiet streets, so different from how they are during the day, you get the feeling that time is flowing more slowly.
You could take another dip in one of the public baths, or take a stroll through the hot spring town.
Enjoy your evening in Kinosaki Onsen according to your mood that day.

[Day 2] Morning at Kinosaki Onsen and rental bicycle
7:00Enjoying the hot springs in the morning
Why not start your morning in Kinosaki Onsen with a dip in the hot springs?
In the morning, we recommend relaxing and enjoying the private hot spring bath located within the Koyado En no Yakata inn.
Also, for those who want to get up a little earlier and go outside, there is a nearby "Jizo-yu" is also recommended.
Except for Mondays, the baths are open from 7 a.m., so you can enjoy a morning bath while strolling through the quiet hot spring town.
Unlike at night, the hot spring town is quiet with few people around.
Soaking in a hot spring in the crisp morning air offers a different kind of comfort compared to visiting the public baths the day before.
9:00Breakfast at Koyado En
After enjoying the hot springs in the morning, have breakfast at CAFÉ & BAR 3RD on the first floor.
Enjoying a leisurely breakfast featuring plenty of local ingredients while planning the second day's itinerary is also part of the fun of traveling.
10:00| Checkout
After enjoying the morning hot springs and breakfast, it's almost time to check out.
Check-out at Koyado En is11:00.
Since we can stay a little longer, we can prepare to depart at a leisurely pace without rushing after breakfast.
We can hold your luggage for you even after check-out until your next appointment.
It's also a good idea to lighten your load and enjoy Kinosaki Onsen a little longer before departing.
10:30| Explore Kinosaki by rental bicycle
On the first day, we explored the hot spring town on foot, but on the second day, we rented bicycles and went a little further afield.
Leaving the hot spring town by bicycle reveals a different landscape than the Kinosaki you usually see on foot.
The breeze felt as you drive along the Maruyama River, the tranquil scenery unfolding a little distance from the hustle and bustle of the hot spring town,
Places you can only visit by bicycle, and scenery that catches your eye unexpectedly.
While it's certainly fun to drive with a destination in mind, it's also enjoyable to stop at interesting places along the way.
I also recommend exploring Kinosaki at your own pace.

12:30Seafood lunch at Kinosaki Onsen
For your last meal in Kinosaki Onsen, why not savor the seafood of Tajima?
Located across from the small inn, EnKaichuen" offers set meals using fresh seafood,
Depending on the season, you can enjoy crab dishes.
Finally, try Kinosaki's unique cuisine, which is quite different from Tajima beef.
14:00Leaving Kinosaki Onsen
Even with just a short 1-night, 2-day trip, there are many ways to enjoy Kinosaki Onsen.
It's not just about visiting tourist spots; it's also about enjoying the local scenery, strolling through hot spring towns, and savoring the local cuisine.
By slowly savoring each moment, the memories of your trip will become even more profound.
I left Kinosaki Onsen thinking, "I want to come back again."
We encourage you to use Koyado En as your base for such a trip.
