Did you know that there is a ropeway in Kinosaki Onsen?
After about a 7-minute walk in the air, you will arrive at Mt. Daishi, which is 231m above sea level.
If you get off the station and climb up to the observation deck,
You can enjoy a panoramic view of Kinosaki and the Sea of Japan in all four seasons.
Also, at the "Miharashi Terrace Cafe" next to the summit station,
I personally recommend it because you can enjoy a drink, take a break and take in the spectacular view.
Right next to the ropeway intermediate station,
There is Onsenji Temple, which was founded by Dochi Shonin, the father of Kinosaki Onsen, the Kinosaki Museum of Art, which exhibits cultural artifacts excavated within the town, and the two-storied pagoda behind the main hall of Onsenji Temple.
I recommend the Rokudo-e paintings located directly in front of you as you enter the Kinosaki Museum of Art. One painting depicts the hell realm, and the other depicts the remaining five realms. It's a powerful and memorable piece.
If you would like to know more about the history of Kinosaki Onsen,
If you've come all the way to Kinosaki and would like to do some sightseeing,
Please go and see it.
